noun. Stimulating drugs, aside from amphetamines, that generate symptoms alike to the symptoms amphetamines generate. Such symptoms might be comprised of: awareness, a positive boost to one’s state of mind, escalated perception of energy levels, diminished appetite, moodiness/easily annoyed, and trouble sleeping. The following drugs fit into this category: methylphenidate, pemoline, and diethyepropion.
