Marasmus: A Hidden Barrier to Cognitive Growth

is a condition which results in- apathy, withdrawal from normal routines, emaciation from a lack of protein nutrition and if marasmus isn’t treated effectively the physiological and psychological development of the individual can become depressed and even stop wholly.

MARASMUS: “Marasmus is often seen as a precursor to depression if left untreated- symptoms include a general withdrawal from normal routines and cease in functioning of some day to day activities.”
