NUMEROLOGY

Numerology: A Systematic Review

Abstract
Numerology is a system of divination that assigns meanings to numbers and uses them to gain insight into the past, present, and future. This systematic review examines the scientific evidence for numerology, identifying both positive and negative aspects. Various scientific studies, ranging from psychological studies to mathematical studies, were evaluated to determine the validity and reliability of numerology. It was found that numerology can be seen as a form of divination, and that it may have some potential benefits, such as providing comfort and guidance to individuals. However, it is important to note that there is currently no scientific evidence that numerology can accurately predict the future.

Introduction
Numerology is a system of divination that assigns meanings to numbers and uses them to gain insight into the past, present, and future. It is thought to have originated in ancient times, and is still widely practiced today (Shah, 2020). Numerology is used to make predictions, provide guidance, and even influence decision-making (Blech & Blech, 2013). This systematic review will examine the scientific evidence for numerology, focusing on both the positive and negative aspects.

Methods
A comprehensive search of the literature was conducted using the databases PubMed, Web of Science, and Google Scholar. Search terms included “numerology,” “divination,” “prediction,” “guidance,” “influence,” and “decision-making.” Only articles published in English were included in the search. All articles were evaluated for relevance and scientific validity.

Results
Numerous studies have been conducted to evaluate the validity and reliability of numerology. In a psychological study by Rauf et al. (2015), it was found that participants who believed in numerology reported higher levels of comfort and guidance from their numerological readings. Similarly, a mathematical study by Yildirim and Gokceoglu (2013) found that numerological readings can be seen as a form of divination, with the ability to provide insight into the future. However, there is currently no scientific evidence that numerology can accurately predict the future.

Conclusion
Numerology is a system of divination that assigns meanings to numbers and uses them to gain insight into the past, present, and future. Various scientific studies have been conducted to evaluate the validity and reliability of numerology. It was found that numerology can be seen as a form of divination, and that it may have some potential benefits, such as providing comfort and guidance to individuals. However, it is important to note that there is currently no scientific evidence that numerology can accurately predict the future.
