PHENYLETHYLAMINES

noun. a set of drugs with hallucinogenic impacts and a typical basic chemical anatomy. The prototype is mescaline, an alkaloid initially isolated from the peyote cactus in 1896. Mescaline is one of the least potent of all hallucinogens, but potency is escalated with the addition of methyl groups to the basic molecule, thereby cultivating supplemented phenylethylamines. The latter is inclusive of the amphetamine derivatives mda, mdma, and dom.

PHENYLETHYLAMINES: “Phenylethylamines have proven to be poisonous and thus, fatal in some studies with lab rats.”
