ARRHINENCEPHALY (ARHINENCEPHALY)

a congenital defect attributed to abnormalities in the part of the brain associated with the sense of smell. In some forms of the condition, the olfactory lobe of the brain and/or the external olfactory organ may be absent or imperfectly developed on one or both sides of the body. Also known as arrhinencephalia.

ARRHINENCEPHALY (ARHINENCEPHALY): “A person with arrhinencephaly has a problem smelling due to the abnormal development of the olfactory area or actual nose.”
