CANNABIS ABUSE

n. in DSM-IV-TR, refers to a pattern of repeated and excessive cannabis use. Although addiction to the substance is rare, it does occur and is diagnosed as cannabis dependence. It usually manifests in the form of hallucinations, anxiety, and panic attacks. See cannabis-induced psychotic disorder. Also substance dependence- intoxication.
