LUMBAR PUNCTURE

a medical procedure which aims to obtain a sample of cerebrospinal fluid for furthering the diagnostic process. It involves inserting a needle in-between two vertebrae and drawing out the required level of fluid.

LUMBAR PUNCTURE: “A lumbar puncture procedure involves placing a hypodermic needle in-between the cartilage in the spinal cord and drawing out cerebrospinal fluid which can be sent for laboratory testing.”
