NUTMEG

the seed of the M. fragrans and Myristica trees, that are indigenous to the Moluccas and grown in South America, the West Indies, and the Phillipines. It has a history of folk utilization as a treatment for stomach and gastrointestinal ailments. Nutmeg has volatile oils consisting of myristicin, elemecin, and other active components which, in high enough doses, generate inebriating impacts, some of them have been compared to those generated by marijuana. In greater doses though, is toxic- stymptoms of poisoning consist of irregularly dilated or contracted pupils, visual delusions, extreme nausea and throwing up, and swift heartbeats.
