Poriomania: The Compulsion to Wander


noun. an irresistible urge to wander off or run away, either being aware of such or in an amnestic state. The condition might take place in some kinds of dementia and epilepsy. Commonly referred to as poriomanic fugue.

PORIOMANIA: “The patient has been diagnosed by two doctors as having poriomania.”
